5 Things You Probably Didn’t Know About Morissa

*If you like these facts, be sure to check out Morissa’s upcoming book Notes Never Sent, which will be published by VIP Ink Publishing very soon, so stay tuned for the official release date.

1. Her Guinness World Record is Glow-in-the-Dark

You probably already knew that Morissa broke the Guinness World Record for creating the World’s Longest Chain of Bracelets, but did you know that the chain is glow-in-the dark? That’s right! Morissa used glow-in-the-dark beads on many of the bracelets, so even when the lights are turned out, you can still see the 1,000 foot long chain!

2. She’s a Mommy’s Girl

Morissa may have had her first national article published when she was 12, but her first article ever published was in her town’s local paper when she was 10. Morissa wrote about her mother for Mother’s day…which reminds us of the one that was recently published on Cambio.

3. Her competitive spirit started young

You may know that Morissa wrote the “the book on contests,” but do you know where her love for contests came from? It started with her very first pageant when she was just a year old. It was a local Easter pageant and Morissa’s Sunday best won her the top prize. Just two years later, she entered her first national dance competition in Atlantic City and won first place.

4. She was a tiny dancer

You may know Morissa as a singer, but as the previous fact hinted, Morissa was a dancer first. She danced competitively for ten years. The singing only came about after an illness forced her to sing for the talent portion of a pageant instead of dancing, and the rest is history.

5. She is a precrastinator

Morissa is an admitted precrastinator. That is…she is the opposite of a procrastinator and likes to get her work done early. She wrote about her vice for Zooey Deschanel’s popular website Hello Giggles.
